Product Introduction: Mica is the name of a group of phyllosilicate minerals with the chemical formation KM(AlSi3O10)(OH)2, and M may be Al, Fe, Mg or combinations of these metals. Mica is monoclinic and typical plane structure. It has a hardness of 2.3, specific gravity of 2.82. 

Application                                                                                                                                             1) Applied in paint to reduce destruction of ultraviolet and other light and heat to paint film; increase acid and alkalinity resistance and electric insulation; beauty up and polish coating; improve coatings endurance, freezing resistance, corrosive resistance, toughness and compactness; reduce coatings air permeability; and avoid spot, crack and paint precipitation.

2) Applied as drilling mud additive of oil well to seal. Mica powder is applied in roofing materials for rainproof, warm-keeping, heat-insulation and decoration. Blended with mineral wool resin and coating, it is applied in concrete, stone and brick wall for decoration.

3) Applied in felt, pipeline mortar and cementing agent; stuffing of decorative coating, sound absorption marl, ceiling and concrete production; stuffing of lubricant, form release agent in rubber products, stuffing of high strength insulating, heat and alkalinity resisting products.

4) Due to its insurability, heat, acid, and alkali resistance, and stripping property, it is insulating material of electrical equipment and electrical material; it also applies in production of steam boiler, smelting furnace gate and machinery component.

5) Others: A) after adding mica powder in engineering plastic PVC, heat deformation temperature nearly rise by one time, various mechanical properties do not have remarkable decline, impact strength has slight improvement, and cost for PVC usage is reduced. B) By adding 20% mica powder to nylon 66, except slight reduction of mechanical property, products appearance has remarkable change and anti-distortion property has improved. C) Can remarkably improve insulation of rubber mat products. D) In plastic film, it improves anti-swell degree, extensibility and rectangular tear strength etc., and is beyond expected standard.
